I am a qualified nurse and have a BSc (Hons) degree in Biomedical Science. I worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a clinical scientist for a number of years. One of my therapeutic areas I was involved in was the study of skin disorders in particular acne. I was astonished to see the serious side effects people experienced with pharmaceutical grade treatments used in an attempt to cure this debilitating skin condition. Being at the forefront of monitoring the dilemmas of serious adverse events of medical skin treatments led me to the fascination of “all things skin”. I began to research and study alternate treatments for various skin concerns and furthermore, anti-aging.
